【Notice Regardig JP Refund】

When claiming your tax refund at the airport, you must first register with the JP Refund app and enter the information from the QR code on your receipt, along with your personal information. At the airport, you will need to present your passport, receipt, and purchased items to Customs for inspection and approval. Important Notes Regarding JP Refund ・The purchaser’s passport information, credit card or QR payment information, and the information registered in the JP Refund app must all belong to the same person. ・You must leave Japan within 90 days of the purchase date and have your tax-free purchase approved by Customs when departing Japan. After leaving Japan, the tax refund procedure must be completed within 200 days from the original purchase date. ・If you have reserved an item and the item has not yet been collected, the tax-free procedure cannot be completed at the airport because you do not have the purchased item with you. In this case, you must first return to your home country and then come back to Japan to collect the reserved item. After collecting the item, please ask the store to reissue the receipt for a new tax-free registration.
